Dolls

This baby was born on a sunny day, under a banana tree in a little village in Africa. Her Mama sells home-made cookies out of a big basket she carries on her head. The Kizito Cookie Lady loves her babies a lot and you're really lucky. She will let you take care of her daughter! Cookie babies only do three things: have fun, eat cookies, and love you.

This Cookie Baby is named NAKIMULI* (that means "Flower.") She likes to play in the banana garden, dance, and eat Chocolate Chip cookies. Love her a lot and she will bring you sweet dreams.

Kizito African Cookie Babies are hand-made by a housewife in the village of Nansana, Uganda in East Africa. This is the home town of a real cookie lady, Elizabeth Namusoke Kizito. These two women are working together to bring this traditional African craft to America. Each doll is individually stitched by hand with local materials. Their names are traditional clan names used by the Baganda people for hundreds of years. We hope that your child will love and appreciate these dolls as much as we do.
